Handmade!

I am planning to give hand made this year, gifts and cards. Then I found this cool site...

I Took The Handmade Pledge! BuyHandmade.org

Which fits right in with my new ETSY shop!

Yesterday I worked on making ribbons for our guild retreat. Once I got started they all started to come together, but I won't post any pictures of them until they have been awarded because I want everyone to be surprised. Hint #1: Denim is involved!

Tuesday Guild Meeting

At our monthly Guild meeting last Tuesday Ellen Anne Eddy spoke to us. I shared with the group my progress on my project that I had started in her class last Saturday.

Last night I was beading again!

This is the sketch I did to guide my project

Some of the stretchy bracelets I've been making, I need to photograph them in daylight, the photos I am taking with the flash are coming out too dark. I am starting to sell some on Etsy, well, just listed yesterday, so none have sold yet.

Craft: & Make:

Wow a couple of new cool blog/zines things taking about scrap quilts and making stuff. Lots of great crafty tips.

The article that hooked me in is about recycling plastic bags into new objects. They show how to *iron*, yes, iron them together into a thicker material and sew them up. Haven't found the You-Tube on their site but did find it on Whip Up while they demonstrate how to make a messenger bag.

Of course my mind is ticking away thinking, can I put this in a quilt, how can I use this for the stuff I make? I guess it depends on how interesting the ironed pieces of plastic are once I makes.

I think they are related ...anyway, check out their goodies! I sure am

Whip Up Dot Net

Cherry House steered me to this great site about all things hand crafted. They talk about business, books, and general craftiness! Check it out.... I know I will be reading that one a lot!
