The stark contrast of the trees against the grass is so beautiful this time of year.  I never get tired of the amazing forms that the oak trees take and the mosses that grow on them. Had cut out the pieces earlier.  Well, everything that could go wrong, did.  I forgot the batting, most of the pieces got sewn together backwards, which I ripped out and sewed correctly.  The handles are too long, the closure is on the wrong side.  Good grief! I really wanted to cut some fabric this weekend to make up the Block of the Month for our upcomming guild meeting.  Well, didn't really get to it, but did manage to make TWO 4 inch cuts from two different pieced of fabric on Sunday!  Whoo-hoo!  I know I *must* finish those blocks this weekend and will have to insist on a bit of time to do it. It is so good to have them here again.  We spent the evening light looking at the yard.  Naturally showed Mom my quilts in progress that are up on my design wall.Today we took it easy.  Did some more stuff in the yard, played games, had Sunday dinner, and took a Sunday drive! I am still thinking of what to do for the border.  I decided to put the bright yellow at the tips to make it glow.  The background fabric was picked from another project that I had with me.  I couldn't have planned that it would be the background until my star points were done.
